Indoors you will find:
The Art Room- This area is extensive and provides opportunities to work daily with different media, which includes painting, drawing, clay, play dough, a three-dimensional construction activity, a collage activity and a technique. Individual creativity is encouraged.
The Resource Room-
The Information Table provides various forms of information regarding the current focus.
The House Corner is a small version of a kitchen and bedroom and includes many dress-up clothes that promote role-play.
The Book Corner is used throughout the day. Here children "read" non-fictional and fictional books to gain knowledge.
The Craft Table provides opportunities for the children to make "items" relevant to the focus.
The Block Corner is well established with a large variety of wooden blocks, which stimulates all our "aspiring engineers".
Outdoors you will find:
An extensive lawn area which includes wooden jungle gyms, climbing frames, a tree house, swings and woodwork tables. The movement exploration equipment and a very busy cycle track enhances

the childrens physical and social development. This area is supervised at all times. Teacher-Directed Activities
Special Time provides the opportunity for the teacher and the children to exchange news and their ideas while sitting on their group map. This also includes extensive discussions regarding the current focus as well as "show and tell". |
